Dear Karen...

We're glad that you're reading our blog and appreciate your interest and concern. We've been really busy for the last several days but did want to take a moment to respond to your passionate comments.

We'll begin by saying that it really boils down to who you read and who you listen to as to what you believe and perceive. We are not unaware of the fact that Sarah Palin is an imperfect person (as are ALL three of the other Presidential /Vice Presidential contenders) so we hope your fears that we are unenlightened are allayed.

As previously noted, we started this blog to give voice to those who share our favorable views of Mrs. Palin, a Washington outsider who has been a successful Governor, the chance to send good wishes and kind words to a woman who has been the victim of malicious if not slanderous assaults by many in the media who seem terrified by the threat she may or may not pose to the democrat ticket.

We've read the unfavorable articles and watched the interviews. In response, our plan is to continue to maintain this blog as a source and resource for those who want to remark positively about a woman we continue to believe is as qualified to be Vice President as Barack Obama would be if he were in a more suitable position on his party's ticket. We do not believe that he has the expertise, intelligence, or experience to be the leader of our country based on his inability to communicate well without a teleprompter or to tell the same story twice without changing details depending on his audience--not to mention his socialist policies or his alliances with people like Saul Alinsky, Jeremiah Wright, ACORN, and on and on the list goes: http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/01/obamas_alinsky_jujitsu.html.

Two articles that answer some of the concerns you raise are linked here: http://townhall.com/Columnists/FredThompson/2008/09/30/qualified
http://townhall.com/columnists/HughHewitt/2008/09/30/sarah_palin_i_know_what_americans_are_going_through

Hopefully, we can agree to disagree about these matters realizing that in politics there are passions that run deep, and in spite of all the negative wind that blows out there, we're just gonna choose to continue to play fair and be nice, unlike so many others out there in the blogosphere.

One more thing, was Joe Biden really shot at in Iraq?

Thanks for posting my comments and for your response. As a woman and a conservative, I want the best person for the job. The nation's problems are simply too great to have less than the most qualified and intelligent person possible. When I read and hear respected conservative columnists, along with many friends, expressing grave doubts about the Republican VP nominee you can bet the focus is going to sharpen.

Our nation deserves so much better.
